Job Description:

Luther Manor is seeking a Full Time Delivery Driver to work Monday through Friday. We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-conscious Driver to provide safe transportation for nursing home residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, activities, and other approved destinations. The ideal candidate will treat residents with dignity and respect while providing reliable and comfortable transportation. Starting wage is $20.00 an hour.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, hospitals, therapy, activities, and other scheduled destinations. Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, following proper safety procedures.
• Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment properly during transportation.
• Perform routine vehicle safety checks and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate transportation schedules, mileage logs, and required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, facility staff, medical offices, and transportation personnel.
• Provide respectful, patient, and compassionate assistance to residents during transportation.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must posses a Chauffer license/CDL
• Valid driver's license with a safe and acceptable driving record.
• Operate the facility vehicle safely and responsibly while following all traffic laws.
• Previous experience transporting seniors, residents, patients, or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Experience working in a nursing home, assisted living facility, healthcare, or senior-care environment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules and instructions.
• Must meet all facility and state requirements for transporting residents.
